Marion County Sheriff's Report

Jan. 8

In the past 24 hours, the office received 97 calls and five 911 calls.

In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 27 calls for service, including eight extra patrols, three vehicle unlocks, five motorist assists, three harassment, five papers, one theft, one accident and one other call for service.

The jail is currently holding 20 subjects. In the past 24 hours, three subjects were booked into the jail. Tasker John Phillips is charged with driving while license revoked and three counts of motor carrier safety violations; Bobby Ray Baker is charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia; Mark Ian Moore is charged with driving under suspension.

Jan. 9

In the past 24 hours, the office fielded 97 calls and fifteen 911 calls.

In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 23 calls for service, including, but not limited to, five paper services, three extra patrols, two motorist assists, two accidents, one report of debris in the roadway, one call returned, one harassment, one transport, two vehicle unlocks, one suspicious vehicle, one follow-up, one welfare check and two other calls for service.

The jail is currently holding 20 subjects. In the past 24 hours, one subject was booked into the jail. Odie Leroy Anderson, Jr., was served a warrant for a probation violation.

Jan. 10

In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 91 calls for service, fifteen 911 calls, including, but not limited to, three extra patrols, one dog, 14 paper services, two carcasses, two suspicious persons, one accident, one return call, two miscellaneous, one controlled burn, two deer and one reckless driver.

The jail is currently holding 20 subjects. In the past 24 hours, four persons were booked into the jail. Thomas Joseph Schmeh is charged with public intox and failure to maintain control; Wayne Allan Cheney is charged with stalking and four counts of violation of a no contact order; Jerry LeRoy Ammons is charged with burglary in the third degree, theft in the second degree and criminal mischief; Tyler Charles Mitchell is charged with violation of a no contact order.
