Two new faces on fair board

Knoxville — Brian Bailey and Scott Jerkins were elected to the Marion County Fair Board last night. Every other incumbent up for reelection on the board will return, with the exception of Jim Darnell.

There were 244 ballots cast in last night's election. Nominations for the board were taken from the floor.

Serving as President of the Board in 2013 will be Jason Reed, Vice President Dennis Haselhuhn, Secretary Randy Shives and Treasurer Terry Harvey.

A regular fair board meeting was held following the election. This included a discussion of the board's goals and objectives for 2013.
