Update: Accident on Lincoln and Casey's

Knoxville — An accident occurred at approximately 4:09 p.m. Monday when a vehicle ran into another while pulling into traffic from the Casey's on the corner of Lincoln and Robinson.

According to Knoxville Police Officer Lance Eysink, a red Mercury Sable, driven by Megan Van Dusseldorp of Knoxville, was pulling out of Casey's when an unidentified vehicle in the northbound slow lane of Lincoln waved it through. However, a silver Toyota Camry, driven by Heather Wilcox of Pella, in the fast lane did not see the Sable coming and ran into the driver's side of the Sable.

Knoxville Fire/Rescue and Knoxville Police responded. Van Dusseldorp was cited for no insurance and failure to yield when entering the highway.
