Knoxville All-Stars going to State

Could use your help

Knoxville — The Knoxville Little League 12 and under all-stars have won their district and earned their way into the state tournament. Team supporters are asking for your assistance, in aiding the families who need to make the trip to Sioux City.

"We're all just so excited," Amy Zuck said. The state tournament begins Saturday, but the team just found out they were going over the weekend. Due to the quick turnaround, some families were unprepared to make the trip to the state tournament.

The team is sponsoring a Can Drive,  July 17-19, in an effort to help the families involved with travel expenses.  Donation pick up is available by calling and leaving your name/address & best time available to pick up at 641-891-3084.

The team's last game of district play is tonight (Monday, July 16) at 8 p.m. Cans, beverages, food and cash donations can be dropped off at the game tonight as well.
