AGSL recognized as veteran-friendly

Rural Attica — The Employers Support for the Guard and Reserve recognized Mark McKay and his business, AGSL Technology, for their efforts to support the military.

AGSL installs high-speed Internet in nine states around the Midwest. One of McKay's employees, Staff Sgt. Tom Dross, nominated MKay for the honor. According to the submission, Dross said McKay has always allowed him to take off all of the time he needs to serve with the National Guard.

McKay said his company hires veterans with no questions asked. He said he does this because "it's the right thing to do," and he did not seek out this honor.

Don Lane, with the Employers Support for the Guard and Reserve, presented McKay with a plaque in recognition of the company's efforts. Lane also thanked him for the support he has shown America's military.
