Next week to be declared Dixie Cornell Gebhardt Week

Knoxville — Rep. Greg Heartsill reports that he intends to bring a resolution forth in the House on Monday to declare next week as "Dixie Cornell Gebhardt Week" in the State of Iowa.

Gebhardt is the Knoxville native who designed the Iowa State Flag. The week in her honor coincides with Iowa State Flag Day, March 29.

Heartsill is expecting City of Knoxville officials to join him in the House in Des Moines for the resolution Monday, March 24, at 1 p.m.

A full day of activities is scheduled for Saturday, March 29, in Knoxville, in honor of Gebhardt. (See related article.)
