DES MOINES — The National Weather Service says flooding and flash flooding are likely with storms expected to hit southern Iowa on Tuesday.
Other forms of severe weather, including tornadoes, are possible. But the massive amount of rain approaching the area is what is raising eyebrows. More than 2.5 inches of rain is expected in the Ottumwa area with higher amounts to the northwest.
Please keep an eye on the weather throughout the day Tuesday and make plans for how to stay safe if threats develop as expected.
