Beach caution issued at Red Rock

Pella — People looking to cool off this weekend at Lake Red Rock hould pay attention to where they choose to swim.

Recent bacteria sampling at the North Overlook Beach shows elevated bacterial counts. The beach will be posted "Swimming Not Recommended" until further testing indicates low bacteria counts. Test results from the Whitebreast Beach and the main body of the lake had extremely low bacterial counts.

All other Corps of Engineers recreation areas around the lake and below the Red Rock Dam are open at this time.
