PELLA — Students in Pella have set another Speedstacking World Record.

This is the third year students from Lincoln Elementary and Jefferson Intermediate Schools have participated in a Guinness World Record attempt to have the "Most People Sport Stacking at Multiple Locations in One Day. More than 2,600 schools and organizations representing some 30 countries from around the world registered for this year's colossal sport stacking event held on Guinness World Records Day, November 15.

The number has passed the goal of 450,000 (469,441), and verifications are still coming in. You can keep track by going to http://www.thewssa.com/stackup/2012_stackup/

During our day of competition the students played a variety of speedstacking activities and were able to try their hand at timing their stacking skills. Participants included students, teachers, and parents.

Pella now has students who own up to four Guinness Book World Records if they have participated over the past three years and were part of the Pella Community record for the largest group of clogged dancers.
