Slideshow: Auditorium tour June 3

Knoxville — We had another opportunity to tour the Knoxville Performing Arts Center, the new auditorium at Knoxville High School, today.

Workers are still busy inside the new structure. The scaffolding has been removed from the main seating floor, with the catwalk and clouds installed above.

The foundation for gallery seating in the back of the main room of the auditorium is in place. Work is being done on the main entrances, backstage and dressing room areas.

Riggings for sets and lights above the stage are in place. Superintendent Randy Flack said the auditorium remains on course for a mid-July completion.

Check out our photos.
