Knoxville — If you’re considering starting a business or expanding your business, there’s a new resource to help in the Knoxville area.
Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC), DMACC Business Resources, SCORE, Marion County Development and Iowa State University Extension Business and Outreach are sponsoring the “Simple Steps for Starting Your Business” series workshops. The first session is from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 24, at the ISU Marion County Extension Bldg. at 210 N. Iowa St. in Knoxville. The first session is free.
Successful and experienced executives will help you reach a “go or no go” decision for starting or expanding your business. After attending the free first class, you have no obligation to continue.
If you do continue, there will be four additional sessions to be held on Tuesdays from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The fee for the remaining courses and follow-up mentoring is $125. Those sessions include:
· Business Concept (from idea to reality), Oct. 8
· Marketing Plan, Oct. 15
· Financial Matters, Oct. 22
· Funding Sources and Next Steps, Oct. 29
