One dead following domestic call

Knoxville — On Jan. 23, 2010 at 1:48 a.m., Marion County Deputies along with Knoxville Rescue responded to a call of an assault at 1342 118th Place in Knoxville The investigation showed that an assault had taken place. A female was transported to the Knoxville Hospital and treated for injuries.

Matthew W. Rowland (dob) 12-13-63 of Knoxville, was also transported to Knoxville Hospital and was later pronounced deceased. Preliminary investigation shows no foul play, however investigation is continuing by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Marion County Medical Examiner’s Office pending autopsy results.
