Authorities seek help in burglaries

Journal Express

Knoxville — The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is asking for help identifying a person they believe may be involved in a series of home invasions and burglaries.

Authorities hope the public can help them identify a silver or gray Oldsmobile from the late 1990s or early 2000s. The car has Marion County license plates. They also want to talk to the driver of the car, described as a male in his mid-30s to 40s, about six feet tall and 185-215 lbs. He has short, light brown hair, little or no facial hair and a tattoo that extends the full length of his left arm.

The department says the driver was seen wearing a short-sleeved dark t-shirt on Wednesday.

Anyone who spots the driver or the vehicle is urged not to approach, but to immediately alert authorities by calling 911 or (641) 828-2220.
