Knoxville — The Knoxville Police Department is asking for the public's help in ending a series of burglaries around town.
The KPD is not sharing many details yet, but the burglars have targeted homes, businesses and storage sheds. They have used force to gain entry into buildings, using crowbars and screwdrivers.
"They have hit several places in Knoxville and on all sides of town," Lt. Aaron Fuller told the Journal-Express. "They have taken pretty much anything that they can get their hands on, but tend to focus mostly on money."
Fuller went on to say that the department has several suspects, but nothing that has led to any arrests. He is hopeful that the public can provide information to corraborate information the department already has and to provide new leads in the investigation.
The police will keep any information received from the public confidential. If you have information you believe can be helpful, call 641-828-0541.
