Bike Safety Check and Mini-Rodeo

Saturday, June 22, 10-11:30 a.m. - Howell Station Campground

Members of the Pella Cycling Club are offering free bike safety checks for all bicyclists. Kids can then “saddle up” and test their biking skills through the mini-rodeo course to make sure you’re ready for action!

Fish Sampling:A Shocking Demo!

Saturday, June 22 at 10 a.m. - Location to be determined - call Corps office for info.

Biologists from the University of Iowa Hygienic Lab will demonstrate how shocking and sampling fish is used to assess the health of lakes, rivers and streams. Location of the activity is dependent on lake conditions - call the Corps office at (641) 828-7522 or (641) 628-8690 Saturday morning to find out the program location.

Let’s Go Paddling!

Saturday, June 22 - 2-4 p.m. - Roberts Creek East Boat Ramp

Give canoeing or kayaking a try. (You must be at least 10 years old to use kayaks. Life jackets will be provided.)

The show will feature some familiar Knoxville faces, including lead character "Cat in the Hat" performed by Knoxville High School student Colby Jones and "Horton the Elephant" played by 3M employee Todd Weber. Other Knoxville actors include Greg May as the General and Liz DeMoss as a Who.
