---- — The Fourth Annual Knoxville Noon Kiwanis’ “Knoxville’s Got Talent” event will be held Thursday, April 18.

Organizer Jamie Hughes said this year’s edition includes 27 acts and 36 participants. Dancers, vocalists and guitarists, ranging in age from 5-18, will take part.

“It will be one of the biggest shows we’ve had,” Hughes said.

The event will once again be a fundraiser to cover the costs of bringing the Missoula Children’s Theatre to Knoxville Oct. 21-26. This group has come to Knoxville the past few years to spend the week, working with all children who want to be involved, on a theatrical production performed the weekend of their visit. This year, Missoula will work with local children on “The Amazing Adventures of Robinson Crusoe.”

Tickets to Knoxville’s Got Talent are $6 each at the door. Doors open at Celebrate Community Church at 6 p.m.

Each participant will be recognized. A “People’s Choice Award” will be presented to the act who receives the most monetary donations. Attendees can “vote” for their favorite by making a contribution to the Kiwanis, by placing the money in the bucket of the act they enjoyed the most. Judges will also select the night’s winners.
