2. Marion County Board of Supervisors – Marion County, Iowa, is hereby serving Public Notice that on December 10, 2012, at 8:30 o'clock a.m., the Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing in the Supervisor's Board Room at the Marion County Courthouse in Knoxville, to consider the adoption of Marion County Ordinances 2012-31, Chapter 26, “Excessive Engine Noise Prohibition”.  The Purpose of this chapter of the Code of Ordinance is to prohibit excessive vehicle noise, including noise from trucks using engine retarding brakes, and adopting by reference Iowa Code Section 321.436

Approve/Deny – Marion County Resolution 12/37 vacating all or part of certain road rights-of-way as existing, in Marion County, Iowa and subject to the rights of ingress and egress of any and all existing utilities, being more particularly described as: 65th. Ave. constructed as Local Project 14151 in 1952, commencing at a point 33 feet north of the North 1/4 corner  of Section 36, Township 77N, Range 21W of the 5th. PM, thence north approximately 1320 feet to the NE corner of the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 25, Township 77N, Range 21W of the 5th PM, thence east 66 feet, thence south approximately 1320 feet, thence west 66 feet to the point of beginning, containing 2 acres more or less.

    The bricks for the downtown streetscape and infrastructure project remained a concern during Tuesday morning's streetscape meeting. Following a walk-through, during which every aspect of the masonry done thus far was reviewed and critiqued, the City of Knoxville was promised that workers will continue working on the project until the work is done.
