Tiny Circus, a collaborative-based community art organization, will be joining the thousands of bikers on RAGBRAI this year. Tiny Circus began in 2008, and uses the medium of stop-motion animation to create short histories and interview-based documentaries. In conjunction with the Iowa Arts Council’s upcoming RAGBRAI exhibition, “Riding Through History,” Tiny Circus will create a short documentary that seeks to capture the culture, spirit, and history of RAGBRAI. They will do this by conducting interviews along the route, leading animating workshops in each town, and hosting screenings of previous animations each night.
Look for the red circus signs along the route and in each town. They will be set up in a red tent along with a silver airstream.
