Robbery suspect Konz facing other charges

Knoxville — Jack Dylan Konz, 18, of Clive, is already facing a charge of first-degree robbery, but as he sat in the Marion County Jail, awaiting trial, he has accumulated more charges.

According to court records, during a routine search of his cell at the jail on March 16, jail staff discovered three white pills identified as Tramadol, which is used in pain relief, according to drugs.com. The pills were allegedly hidden in a salt container under his mattress. Konz allegedly admitted to not having a prescription for the medication. He has been charged with possession of contraband and unlawful possession of a prescription drug.

The case at the jail remains under investigation.

Konz was already facing a possession charge filed by the Pella Police Department on the day he is also accused of robbing MidWestOne Bank in Pella (Feb. 21). He is scheduled to appear in court on all four charges on Friday, April 5, at 9:30 a.m.

The other suspect in the Pella robbery, Christian Michael Latshaw, is also scheduled to be in court on Friday, April 5.
