Knoxville — Cerner, the company associated with Knoxville Hospital and Clinics' new electronic records setup, said the hospital was one of the better prepared facilities the company has encountered.
Lindsay Little, engagement leader, said Sunday night that Cerner has done 40 such conversions. Knoxville was the third with which she has been involved. Little said KHC "really owned" the training portion of the electronic conversion. This made Cerner's work a little easier, and reminds everyone that the transition is a Knoxville event, not a Cerner one.
With all of the training that has already been done, Little expected an easy transition. Cerner representatives will be on site through Friday at 4 p.m.
