West Elementary takes part in Pinwheels for Prevention

Knoxville — A group of Central College students visited West Elementary in Knoxville today, to help raise awareness of child abuse.

The students brought hundreds of pinwheels for the students, in recognition of the Pinwheels for Prevention program. April is Child Abuse Awareness Month and the pinwheels represent childhood joy and playfulness.

The goal is to spread the word about child abuse and finding better ways to prevent it.
