On December 18, 2013 at approximately 4:30 p.m. members of the Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force with the assistance of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Jasper County Sheriff’s Office K9 executed a drug search warrant at 412 NE Main St in Melcher where illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia were seized.
As a result of the search warrant one individual was taken to the Marion County Jail on drug charges awaiting initial appearance. Rodney Allen Sedlock age 43 of that residence has been charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession scheduled III controlled substance enhanced and possession of drug paraphernalia
Possession of marijuana with intent to deliver is a class “D” felony, possession of schedule III controlled substance enhanced is an aggravated misdemeanor and possession of drug paraphernalia is a simple misdemeanor.
The Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force is based in Des Moines and currently has 16 central Iowa agencies participating in the task force including the Jasper and Marion County Sheriff’s Offices, Knoxville, Newton, and Pella Police Departments.
