Warrant served in Knoxville by the Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force

Knoxville — Execution of search warrant at 1329 South Lincoln St. Lot #12 in Knoxville, IA

On July 18th, 2013 at approximately 06:20 p.m. members of the Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force with the assistance of the Knoxville Police Department executed a drug search warrant at 1329 South Lincoln St. Lot #12 in Knoxville where illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia were seized.

As a result of the search warrant 5 individuals were taken to the Marion County Jail on drug and interference charges awaiting initial appearances.  Jenna Binnsage age 19 of Knoxville charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, possession of a prescription drug without a prescription, child neglect, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a drug house. Brandon Galvin age 21 of Knoxville charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, possession of prescription drug without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a drug house, interference with official acts and child endangerment. Jonathan Banister age 27 of Florida charged with possession o f marijuana and interference with official acts. Cody Laird age 20 of Knoxville charged with possession of marijuana and interference with official acts. Natasha Flesher age 19 of Knoxville charged with possession of marijuana and interference with official acts.

Possession of with intent to deliver marijuana is a class “D” felony, fail to affix a drug tax stamp a class “D” felony, child neglect a class ‘C” felony, possession of marijuana a serious misdemeanor, interference with official acts a simple misdemeanor, possession of prescription drugs without a prescription an aggravated misdemeanor, child endangerment an aggravated misdemeanor, maintaining a drug house an aggravated misdemeanor and possession of drug paraphernalia a simple misdemeanor.

The Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force is based in Des Moines and currently has 16 central Iowa agencies participating in the task force including the Jasper and Marion County Sheriff’s Offices, Knoxville, Newton, and Pella Police Departments.
