Lundy donates to Kiwanis

Knoxville — Funds have been raised for Phase I of the Knoxville Morning Kiwanis Miracle Playground at Young's Park, and local dentist Dr. Todd Lundy has made a donation to reach the club's next, $100,000 goal, for the rest of the project.

Lundy made the donation Tuesday afternoon, one day before the equipment for Phase I is expected to arrive. Ernie Smith, Kiwanis Chairman of the playground committee, said the new equipment will be installed when the ground is better suited this spring.

Phase I of the project required $70,000, a figure the club has already successfully been able to raise.
