Melcher-Dallas — Melcher-Dallas Police Chief Beau Wittkowski reports that Tuesday night's domestic call was a misunderstanding.
Police and rescue units were called to the home of an elderly couple last night around 6:20 p.m. According to Wittkowski, the situation involved the man who woke up agitated and cut his hand.
While his wife called for a rescue unit, yelling could be heard in the background and it was interpreted as a domestic situation. When officers arrived, it took some time to calm the man down, but Wittkowski said there was no domestic violence. No arrests were made or charges filed.
"There was no physical altercation," Wittkowski said. The man was treated for his injury.
