KHC honors employees at service awards ceremony

---- — In connection with National Hospital Week, Knoxville Hospital & Clinics held its annual service awards ceremony on Monday, May 13.

Thirty-nine employees were presented with service awards this year totaling a total of 530 years of service to our patients and the communities we serve.

Employees recognized with five years of service were: Mary Beth Bellon, Nursing-Med/Surg.; Brandi Booth, Provider-Pleasantville Clinic; Jessica Brown, Nursing-Med/Surg.; Jane Cooper, Nutritional Services; Mindy DeZwarte, Nursing-ER; Valerie Elliott, Nursing-Clinic; Pam Giltner, Information Technology; Norene Johnston-Rowland, Nursing-Med/Surg.; Kellie Jones, Nursing-ER; Jolene Marrone, Nutritional Services; Shannon Overton, Nursing-ER; Eric Rankin, Nursing-Med/Surg.; Barb Rees, Admissions; Marjorie Ricardo, Lab; Brian Sims, Human Resources; Sue Switzer, Pharmacy; and Juanita Wilson, Nursing-Med/Surg.

The employees acknowledged for 10 years of serviced included: Rachel Davis, Wound Care; Amanda Kingrey, Lab; Virginia Pettyjohn, Nursing-ER; and Dr. Mike Van Natta, Provider-Clinic.

Fifteen year services awards were presented to Liz Brand, Nutritional Services; Brian Clarke, Nuclear Medicine; Heather Davis, Information Technology; Elaine Dralle, Nursing-Clinic; Sue Flander, Nursing-Surgery; Terry Rose, Nursing-Clinic; and Dixie Smith, Nursing-Med/Surg.

Sharon Bennett, Nutritional Services; Julia Fenoglio, Health Information Management; Dyan Mitchell, Nursing-Med/Surg.; and Julie Morris, Lab, were recognized for 20 years of service.

Twenty-five years of service awards were presented to Cindy Crozier, Information Technology; Deb Lefler, Nursing-ER; Deb Rankin, Business Office; and Gary Woodhouse, Respiratory Therapy.

Diane Lambirth was recognized for 30 years of service, Carol Troendle was recognized for 40 years of service, and Dr. Earl McKeever was recognized for 50 years of service.

Each employee was honored with a VISA gift card in various amounts.

Larry Van Baale, Nursing-Med/Surg., was recognized as the 2013 KHC Hero of the Year.
