Knoxville — There were 3,100 local MidAmerican Energy customers without power for about 45 minutes yesterday afternoon, due to an equipment problem at the substation.
Tina Pothoff, spokesperson for MidAmerican said the outage lasted from 1:37-2:10 p.m. The outage affected the northern part of Knoxville.
"It was not a planned outage," Pothoff said. A repair was required, but Pothoff does not believe there will be any more problems in the near future.
"We don't foresee anymore problems," she said.
