Assistant City Manager Dylan Feik submitted his two-week notice to the City of Knoxville on Aug. 26.
Feik has accepted a similar position in Auburn, Calif. According to Feik's resignation letter, the job will put him within three hours of his family.
Also included in the resignation letter were many changes Knoxville has seen and experiences Feik has had while serving in what was a newly-created position.
Feik's last day with the City is Sept. 9, though he indicates that he will be available to assist for a time after that.
