Knoxville — The Knoxville City Council is scheduled to meet tonight (Monday, May 5) at 6:15 p.m.
On the council's agenda is the future of the City's hotel/motel tax funds. As reported in the May 2 Journal-Express, the council and Chamber of Commerce disgree about the future of the funds.
Reading through the council agenda packet (http://www.knoxvilleia.gov/AgendaCenter/ViewFile/Agenda/05052014-72?packet=true) council members April Verwers and Dawn Alspach-Kline indicate what happened during the many hours of negotiations between the two of them, and represenatives from the Chamber. The reports indicate tension between the two sides.
