Knoxville — A new antique shop has opened in Knoxville.
Sara Shinn has always been a fan of finding antiques and other unique items at auctions, garage sales and second-hand shops. She also had empty space available in the back of her primary business, Knoxville Barber Shop.
Inspired by the television show, "American Pickers," she and her husband, Ed, have opened Knoxville Pickers. The new antique shop has many unique items, none of which are priced.
"Just make me an offer," Sara said as to her pricing plan. She is willing to package items together and negotiate prices on anything in the store.
Inventory at the shop changes every week. The shop has already caught the attention of those who are waiting for their haircuts or those waiting on loved ones in the barber's chair. Sara said walking into the shop is like a walk down memory lane.
Hours of operation are 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m.-noon on Saturday. The shop, which does not take consignments, is located at 301 East Main.
