Knoxville — City of Knoxville and Knoxville Water Works crews are hard at work to repair a broken water main along Robinson Street.
The main left the basement of the Journal-Express building flooded. Water remains about two inches deep in the basement.
According to one of the workers handling the situation, the main has affected other buildings along the street, including the Sundance Realty building. The flooding ruined a new furnace that had been installed in Sundance.
Crews are confident that they can have the mess, including the one in the Journal-Express basement, cleaned up by the end of the day.
