Lisa Krichau

Memorial services for Lisa Krichau, of Pleasantville were held on Friday, July 26, 2013, at the Mason Funeral Home with Danielle Bertrand, Celebrant. Musical selections of “Never Alone” and “Knowing What I Know About Heaven” were shared.

Lisa Lee Krichau was born Sept. 5, 1963, in Des Moines, the daughter of Jerry and Janet (Clark) Porter.

Lisa was raised near Beech, Iowa, and graduated from Pleasantville High School with the Class of 1982. She attended college at Northeast Missouri State and Mercy College of Nursing for a short time before starting her career at Wellmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield. She worked for Wellmark from 1986 until 2008 when health issues forced her to retire. She was united in marriage to Richard Krichau on Oct. 24, 1987. Lisa was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother sister and friend.

She passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2013, at her home at the age of 49 years.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Richard; children: Joshua (Allison) Krichau of Indianola, Adam (Megan) Krichau and Maiga (Joe) Van Haalen all of Pleasantville; grandchildren: Noah, Tate, Owen, Kendall, Dane, Hunter, Scout, Keagen, Kelsee, Kylee, Gauge, and Kitt; father, Jerry (Deb) Porter of Carroll; siblings: Lori Porter, Craig (Julie) Porter of Ankeny, Phil (Clisty) Porter of Indianola, Steve Porter of Indianola and Jacque (Brian) Perkins of Pleasantville; grandmothers: Helen Porter of Dallas, Texas and Edna Clark of Pleasantville and many other family members and friends.
