Jonathon Him McCarty

Jonathon Hime McCarty, age 23, was born Sept. 29, 1989, to Jon and Jody (Bonnett) McCarty. Jonathon left his family and friends to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 5, 2013. He is survived by his parents, Jon and Jody; his son, Owen, and a daughter, Layla; their mother, Amanda Pearson; his companion, Steph Clark; and her sons, Dallas and Gavin. He also leaves his grandparents Richard Max McCarty and Pam Briggs, Dwight (Hime) and Patricia Bonnett; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jonathon was preceded in death by his brother, Jordan; his great-grandparents; great-aunts and uncles.

Jonathon attended Twin Cedars Community School District, from where he graduated in 2008. While in school, Jonathon was an active member of the school’s FFA Chapter. He was employed with Weiler in Knoxville. Jonathon was baptized as a member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church.

Jonathon enjoyed spending time with his children. He enjoyed the great outdoors whether it be camping, hunting, fishing or four-wheeling.

Jonathon will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He will forever be remembered by his beautiful smile.

Funeral Services were held Thursday, May 9, at the United Methodist Church of Bussey, with Pastors Leo Freel and Dale Schoening officiating. Burial followed services at the Hamilton Cemetery in Hamilton.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions shall be made to Jonathon’s family. Condolences may be sent to www.winfieldfh.com. The Winfield funeral Home of Knoxville is assisting the family with services.
