Ilene Pottorff

Ilene Sandra Pottorff passed away at home Sunday morning December 15, 2013. She was born in Lovilia on June 21, 1934 to Earl and Thelma (Ferguson) Smith.

Ilene went to School in Lovilia and graduated from Lovilia High School, class of 1952. She married Norman “Bud” Pottorff on August 26, 1952. They were blessed with three children, Steve, Victoria, and Sharon. Bud died on June 27, 1993. Ilene was a homemaker. She was a member of the Lovilia United Methodist Church. She enjoyed shopping, dining out, her cats, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children: Steve Pottorff and Linda Sands of Lovilia, Victoria (Jack) Frost of Bussey, Sharon (Dan) Ryan of Knoxville, grandchildren; Mike and Bryce Pottorff of Lovilia, Travis (Jenny) Frost of Knoxville, Tiffany (Gabe) Gilbert of Knoxville, Alyssa, Courtney, Kamryn Ryan of Knoxville; great grandchildren, Jalen and Tristyn Frost of Knoxville, Brayden, Isabella, Chase Gilbert of Knoxville, and one great great granddaughter, Marlea Frost of Knoxville. She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband Bud.

Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Lovilia United Methodist Church with Rev. Raymond Doser officiating. Burial followed at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lovilia.

Memorials may be given to the Lovilia United Methodist Church or Woodlawn Cemetery. Online condolences may be left for the family at sinnottfuneralhome.com. Services entrusted with Sinnott Pierschbacher Funeral Home.
