---- — Lori Kay Ross, age 54 of Knoxville, passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at her residence in Knoxville.
Lori was born in Cookeville, Tenn., on Oct. 1, 1959, the daughter of Max and Joan Hall. Lori was raised most of her life in Knoxville and graduated from the Knoxville High School, Class of 1978.
Lori was self-employed. She took to selling on eBay shortly after its inception in 1997 and found she had an aptitude for the reselling business.
On Sept. 2, 1979, at the First Christian Church in Knoxville, Lori and Paul Joseph Ross were united in marriage. Lori and Paul were blessed with two children: Derek and Renee.
Lori cherished her friends and family above all. Organizing gatherings and parties to spend time with her favorite people gave her great joy and purpose. Lori was a collector, and enjoyed surrounding herself with beautiful things. Her paperweights, giraffes, flamingo figures, and butterflies were displayed with pride and imbued her personality into her home. Lori loved going to auctions where she would see old friends and always make new ones. And at the end of the day she appreciated the simple pleasure of relaxing in her chair and catching up on her TV shows.
Lori is survived by her husband, Paul Ross of Knoxville; her children, Derek Ross of Fayetteville, Ark., and Renee (Andy) Roso of Iowa City; her sister, Margie Dutler of Knoxville and her brother Richard (Tracey) Hall of Knoxville.
