Gloria Marie McDaniel

Gloria Marie McDaniel, 78, of Pleasantville, and formerly of Oelwein, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013. Funeral Services were Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein with Deacon Jim Patera officiating. She was laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery at Oelwein. Gloria Marie (Triggiani) McDaniel was born on April 29, 1935, in Oelwein, Iowa, the daughter of Veto and Arminda Elizabeth (Thomas) Triggiani. She grew up in the Oelwein area and attended Sacred Heart Catholic School there. Later in her life she moved to Pleasantville, where she worked for R. R. Donnelly and raised her family.

On Nov. 7, 2013, Gloria passed away at her home. Gloria enjoyed her dog, Benji, cooking for everyone, making people laugh, taking long drives, looking at the beautiful fall leaves, crossword puzzles, watching her grandson race, and spending time with her friends. Her greatest enjoyment came from her time with her family. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and all who truly knew her.

Gloria is survived by her two sons: Don Potter of Swan and Lynn Potter of Augusta, Kan.; her three daughters: Diane Bender of Swan, Marilyn (Mark) Maeschen of Pleasantville, and Chris (Jim) Bender of Swan; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Triggiani; her sisters: Darlene Schwartz and Dorothy Lillibridge; and her parents, Veto and Arminda.
