Funeral services for Wilma Vohl, of Knoxville, were held on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home with Rev. Josyph Andrews officiating. Burial followed in the Graceland Cemetery. Musical selections of “In the Garden”, “Amazing Grace” and “On the Wings of a Dove” were shared. Casket bearers included Dustin DeMoss, John Mavin, Eugene Poush, Chris Bates, Chet Briggs and David Briggs.
Wilma Frances Vohl was born Oct. 15, 1937, in Marion County, the daughter of Merle and Alberta (Slykhuis) Oliver.
Wilma was united in marriage to Raymond Frederick Vohl on Aug. 14, 1954, at the Church of God in Knoxville. Wilma worked at Rolscreen for 32 years prior to retirement. During retirement Wilma and Raymond wintered in the south, primarily in Mission, Texas. They also enjoyed camping for many years.
Wilma passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at the Knoxville Hospital at the age of 75 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Naomi and her husband, Raymond.
Those left to honor Wilma’s memory include her daughter; Marcia DeMoss and fiancé Mark Bills of Knoxville, granddaughters: Nicole (Chris) Bates of Colorado, Ashley DeMoss of Knoxville; step-grandson, Dustin DeMoss of Florida; great-granddaughters: Kaelynn Bates of Colorado, Rylie Smith of Knoxville and her siblings: Phyllis Hall (Jim) of Killeen, Texas and Merle Oliver, Jr. of California and many other family members and friends.
