Judith A. Price

Judith A. Price, 72, formerly of Knoxville, now of Troy, Ill., passed away at 3:12 on Friday, May 9, 2014, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill. She was born in 1941 the daughter of Lawrence and Una (Vorn Holt) McLaughlin in Peoria, Ill., and raised in Mason City, Ill. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1959. She married John Price on January 3, 1965 in Mason City.

Those left to honor her memory include husband John and daughter Kimberly Ann Lorence (Ben); brothers Jack (Pam) and Dick (Kathy) McLaughlin; sister Pat Akin and sister-in-law Connie McLaughlin, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Don McLaughin.

Judy was a peacemaker at heart and only met a stranger once, because she would make friends with anyone she met. She had a joy and light that was noticed by anyone she met, and she impacted for the good the lives of both family and her many friends. Judy strived for unity in the family and loved any occasion where loved ones gathered. Judy had a strong sense of what was right and fair, along with a generous spirit. She enjoyed crafts of many kinds, giving gifts and bringing people together.

The funeral was held at Cain Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City, Ill., on Wednesday May 14. In lieu of flowers consider making a donation to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
