Daisy Ripchick

Knoxville —

A visitation for Daisy Ripchick, of Knoxville, was held on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012 at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home.

Daisy Hawley was born on July 2, 1928, in Kents Store, Va., the daughter of Olive (Snyder) Mundy.

She was raised and married in Virginia and later moved to Indiana where her daughter, Marilyn Daisy was born.  Daisy then moved to Chicago where she spent most of her life.  In 1990, Daisy retired and moved to Knoxville to be closer to her daughter.  She worked as an ER Clerk at the Knoxville Hospital in her retirement.

Daisy and her companion, Jim, loved to travel.  They enjoyed their trips to Hawaii, Estes Park, Colorado and Yellowstone Park.  She was a devoted Cubs and Braves fan and also enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears play.

She passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at her home at the age of 84 years.

Daisy was preceded in death by her mother, Olive Mundy; brother, Arnold Mundy and a Great-Aunt, Ida Synder.

Survivors include her daughter, Marilyn D. Lange (Dr. Brian D. Lange) of Knoxville; grandsons, Denny Lange of Bellingham, Wash., Maxxwell Lange of Detroit, Mich.; her loving companion, Jim Wesley of Knoxville; sister, Ruth Lindsay (Ron) of Orange, Va.; and a brother, George Mundy of Charlottesville, Va.
