Nancy Bramon

Melcher-Dallas —  

Nancy was born March 31, 1940 in Smyrna, Delaware, to Charles and Florence Shelton. She grew up and attended high School in Delaware. She was married to Joseph Bramon in 1956 and was blessed with a son, David, and daughter, Debbie. In 1963 she was married to Dwaine Damon and was blessed with Daniel, Donald, Linda and Brenda. 

Nancy worked as a CNA for many years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, fishing and traveling. She was always thinking of others and putting their needs first. Her great joy in life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In 1999 Nancy and Joseph remarried. 

Nancy passed away in Marshalltown at the age of 72. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dwaine Damon, infant sons: Daniel and Donald; great grandson, Jon Eckhart; siblings: Charles Shelton and Esther Liggins; and brother-in-law Jack Stockwell.

Nancy is survived by her husband Joseph Bramon; children: David (Mary) Bramon of Des Moines, Debbie Borton of Marshalltown, Linda Mason of Dumont, and Brenda (Tim Gretillat) Vrem of Rinebeck; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and siblings: Robert (Doris) Shelton, Betty Stockewell, and sister-in-law Deloris Shelton. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A memorial service was held Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas. Online condolences for the family may be left at www.pierschbacherfuneralhome.com.
