Funeral services for Jim Beaman of Knoxville were held on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at the Living Word Fellowship with Pastor Doug Brady officiating.  Burial followed in the Graceland Cemetery.  Musical selections of “The Old Account was Settled Long Ago”, “The Old Rugged Cross”, “Go Rest high on that Mountain” and “The Dance” were shared.  Casket bearers included  Justin Johnson, Matt Groenendyk, Dave Nash, Mike Groenendyk, Bryan Johnson and Rich Nash.  Honorary Casket Bearers were  Tre’ Beaman, Tanner Light, Justin Clary and Devon Brees.
 
Jim Beaman was born Sept. 6, 1948, in Knoxville, the son of Wallace Gene Beaman and Margery E. (Cook) Beaman.
He was raised in Knoxville and as a young man, he worked in area coal mines.  For most of his working years, Jim drove a semi.  He had worked for Brooks Trucking, Orr Trucking and several other companies.  In his spare time, Jim enjoyed NASCAR racing and his dog.  He was also a huge fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Jim passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at the Pella Regional Health Center at the age of 64 years.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Lyndsey Beaman.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Shirley; daughters, Sheryl (Jason) Clary of Johnson City, Tennessee, Stacy Beaman and Shay Beaman (Jordy Tickle) of Knoxville; son, Jason (Paula) Beaman of Knoxville; 9 grandchildren:  Nikki Johnson, Justin Johnson, Justin Clary, Devon Brees, Tanner Light, Lyndsey Beaman, Bri Roush, Tre’ Beaman and Kaylee Beaman and 2 great-grandchildren, Alyssa Bishop, Rylen Phelps and many other family members and friends.
