Juanita Swayne

Pella — Juanita Lillie Swayne was born on Feb. 15, 1929, in Chariton, the daughter of Fredrick Willett and Beulah (Wright) Willett.

She was united in marriage to Arthur Dale Swayne, Sr. on April 6, 1947, in Troy, Kansas.  The two made their home in Marion County. Juanita worked at the Knoxville V.A. Hospital in the Dietetics Department until her retirement in 1991.

She was a caretaker, not only to her own family, but to all of the neighborhood children too.  Juanita loved her two cats and had the most well fed squirrels and birds in the neighborhood. In her younger years, she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Art on March 18, 2005; brother, Henry; sister, Carm; daughter, Janice and a great-grandson, Blaine.
