To the Editor:
We completed a very successful 2013 After Prom Party for the Knoxville Junior/Senior classes due to a lot of hard work from volunteers and generous monetary and non-monetary donations. Over 100 thank-you notes have been written and sent to contributors, and we hoped we had covered everyone. Only after asking the Knoxville Journal-Express to please publish our thank you in the Reminder did it occur to us that we had left out a couple of major contributors to this worthy cause: the Knoxville Journal-Express and our local radio station KNIA-KRLS!
We are lucky to have so much support from these businesses, which get left out as contributors so easily at the end of the day and sometimes taken for granted. A heartfelt “Thank-You” to both of your businesses for your continuous support of our community and outlying areas, which includes our schools, organizations, churches, etc.
So -- if you are ever in a position of asking for help in advertising, printing, public awareness, or whatever for your fundraising/events, don’t forget to thank the businesses who may not be making a monetary donation but are giving of their talents, time, resources, etc., to help you. A simple thank you goes a long way. We couldn’t have held this party without our community support, and we again say “Thank-You” to all of you!!
