Sinclair swears in

Iowa Senate Republicans

Des Moines —

The 85th General Assembly convened today at the Capitol and among the important items on the Legislature’s agenda was the swearing in of new legislators.

Senator Amy Sinclair (R-Allerton) was elected to a four year term in the Iowa Senate in the newly-established District 14 which encompasses Clarke, Lucas, Decatur, and Wayne Counties, along with the majority of Marion County and the southeast corner of Jasper County.

“It is an honor and privilege to be a member of the Iowa Senate and I plan to work diligently to represent District 14 at the statehouse.  I look forward to working with my fellow Legislators on important issues facing Iowans,” said Sinclair, who will be the Ranking Member of the Senate Local Government Committee and serve on the Senate Commerce and Education Committees.
