Sinclair endorses Ernst for Republican Senate nod

Des Moines — State Sen. Amy Sinclair has endorsed Joni Ernst for the Republican nomination for the United States Senate. 

Sinclair said she is excited to endorse Ernst, calling her effective and as having the best interests of Iowa at heart. 

In response to Senator Sinclair’s endorsement, Ernst stated, “It is an honor to have the support of my fellow Senator and colleague, Amy Sinclair.  Senator Sinclair is a valued, trusted member of the State Senate, who is dedicated to serving the interests of her constituents.  I am proud to serve with her in the Senate and look forward to campaigning alongside Senator Sinclair in her district.”

Sinclair told the Journal-Express that she has been involved in an Emerging Leaders Summit in Virginia and educational meetings in Chicago. Education will be discussed further among Iowa legislators as her committee reconvenes soon. 

Sinclair will be in Marion County at the Knoxville VFW on Tuesday and has made other recent trips to the area.
