School safety discussed at Twin Cedars

Journal-Express

Bussey — Sheriff Jason Sandholdt and other emergency management representatives discussed school safety at Twin Cedars High School on Jan. 2.

Discussions between the County and Twin Cedars, regarding precautions and other safety measures, began before the shooting tragedy in Newtown, Conn. Sandholdt, Chief Deputy Troy Fisher and Marion County Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Anderson conducted the meeting with Twin Cedars staff members.

"Sheriff Sandholdt, Deputy Fisher, and Marion County Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Anderson all did an outstanding job of discussing and  answering several questions/concerns my staff had about school safety here at Twin Cedars," Principal Dave Roby said. "In my time here at Twin Cedars we have always had a tremendous relationship with these organizations and one we plan to continue with the new Sheriff."
