The undefeated Twin Cdears Sabers baseball team will play for the Class 1A state title against Mason City-Newman on Saturday, Aug.2, at noon.
Gordon, Stewart, Kahne and Larson to drive for charity
NASCAR stars Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne, Kyle Larson and Jeff Gordon are scheduled to take part in a charity race at Slideways Karting Center in Knoxville on Wednesday, Aug. 6.

The Twin Cedars Saber baseball team finishes the 2014 regular season with a perfect 29-0 record. Without a moment's hesitation, the team's focus goes to the postseason, and its new record of 0-0.

On a cold and cloudy Senior Night, the Twin Cedars Sabers baseball team continued its winning ways with a 15-0 victory over Cardinal, Eldon in four innings.
Panthers split with Newton
The Knoxville Panther baseball team traveled to Newton Wednesday night and split a double-header with the Cardinals.
- A day at Principal Park Two of Marion County's finest baseball teams, Twin Cedars and Pleasantville, played and won games at Principal Park on Wednesday, June 25. The Trojans defeated Sigourney 16-1 and the Sabers beat Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont 9-0.
Knoxville drops two to Norwalk
The Knoxville Panther baseball team lost both games of a double header at home Wednesday night to Norwalk, but the team remains at .500 on the season.
Kinser exhibit opens tomorrow
A few finishing touches need to be added, but the "Salute to Champions: Steve Kinser" exhibit is scheduled to open Friday, June 13, the day before the World of Outlaws returns to Knoxville.
Panther bats go crazy in Des Moines
The Knoxville Panther baseball team bounced back in a big way Tuesday afternoon, defeating the Chariton Chargers 18-2 in under four complete innings.
