---- — The Melcher-Dallas Saints split a pair of games with Wayne of Corydon and Moulton-Udell last week. The Saints fell to Class 1A fourth ranked Wayne 12-0 Monday, May 20. One day later Lexi Crozier threw a no-hitter as Melcher-Dallas downed Moulton-Udell 12-0.

Crozier was on her game when the Saints met the Eagles May 21. She allowed no hits and just two walks in the four inning affair. Crozier struck out eight M-U batters.
MacKenzie Suntken and Crozier, M’Kay Knutson, Anastasia Dennison, and Kaylee Houston each had two hits. Knutson had a home run and two RBI. Houston and Crozier had two and one RBI respectively.

The Saints had a rough opening game against fourth ranked Wayne May 20. The Saints were facing all-state pitcher Breanna Fortune. She gave up just two hits while striking out three.
Wayne scored eight runs in the first inning, three in the second, and one more in the fourth, to win by the 12-run rule.
Madyson Riebhoff and MacKenzie Suntken were the only Saints to get a hit.
Crozier took the loss for the Saints. She surrendered 10 hits and walked three batters. Only four of Wayne’s 12 runs were earned. Crozier struck out three Falcon batters.
