KNOXVILLE — HCI Hospice Care Services of Knoxville will hold its seventh annual “Bucket Bash” fundraising event from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 24 at Peace Tree Brewing Co. and Taproom, 107 W. Main St.
The event. supports Iowans in need at one of life’s most difficult times, said Katie McIntyre, media relations coordinator for HCI Care Services and Visiting Nurse Services in Iowa.
“Our hospice team talks with our patients about what’s important for them to accomplish before they die, and we do what we can to support their wishes,” McIntyre said.
All proceeds go toward the HCI Quality of Life Program, which helps hospice patients live out dreams on their personal “bucket lists,” McIntyre said.
There will be live music and raffles for buckets that include gift certificates, donated items, and vouchers for experiences around Knoxville. Dinner and dessert are being provided by Hy-Vee.
“We hope shining a focus a focus on bucket lists also inspires Marion County residents to think about living their lives to the fullest now while they’re healthy and able to do so,” McIntyre said.
