HCI Hospice Care Services is seeking compassionate individuals who would like to make a meaningful, lasting impact on the lives of others by becoming volunteers. No previous experience is necessary.
Volunteers play an important role in hospice care by providing patients and families with companionship and support. They also help with transportation and errands, baking, office assistance and with specialized programming, such as Peace of Mind and Veteran programs.
HCI Care Services is hosting a volunteer training on Tuesday, June 7, and Thursday, June 9, from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. at its office located on the square at 213 E Main Street in Knoxville.
The last session will be held Tuesday, June 14 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Good Shepherd Church, 1506 S Attica Road. Attendance is required at each session. Those interested in attending should register by contacting Tricia Worrall, volunteer coordinator, at 641-842-4312 or at TWorrall@hcicareservices.org.
